Weingut Baldauf Ramsthal is located in the village Ramsthal, almost in the most northern tip of the Franconia wine region. Nearby flows the Franconian Saale, a tributary of the River Main.

The winery is run by two brothers Gerald and Ralf Baldauf and is assisted by their two wives (who are mainly responsible for sales). Baldauf has an ultra-modern wine cellar. Built in 2008, with all amenities. The vineyards are situated around the village. In general, these are steep slopes with calcareous soils.

Ecology is important to the brothers Baldauf. They mainly work with resistant varieties. No insecticides, all 100% eco. This goes for the whole region Fränkische Saale.

The wines are of excellent quality! Real dry Rieslings and Silvaners. And ….. a Müller-Thurgau Zero with 0 gr/l residual sugar. The Scheurebe Kabinett Trocken is a jewel. Not to forget Baldauf sells those cute little Bocksbeutel bottles (0.25 l).
