A long driveway leads us to this super chic chateau including nice rose gardens and out of the windows we hear beautiful piano playing. It seems to be practicing for a concert which will be hold at in the evening. We go to the right to the restaurant. Here we are pleasantly surprised with a marvelous view over the vineyards and the Rhine. The restaurant has an excellent reputation and is frequented by a clientele from around the world. In the nice and good taken care of wine shop (the former press room) we are and helped carefully. The wines are excellent. Since 1820 they label the quality with ‘Siegellack’ (coat). At present, it uses colors on the cap to indicate which kind of wines are in the bottle.
