In the center of the small village Chablis is the boutique of Domaine Laroche located at number 10 Rue Auxerrois. Here you‘ll find the finest wines to taste and of course to buy. Besides the excellent reputation of this house there is also a relaxed atmosphere and they give you time to taste. Behind the shop there is a separate tasting room where, with a larger group, you can experience an extensive tasting. We arrived around lunch time here. We tasted a number of wines and took a nice collection home. Unfortunately we didn’t make a reservation in advance at their own wine bar / restaurant / hotel called Hotel du Vieux Moulin. This hotel and restaurant is very trendy. If you can, book a place close to the window, so you can see the river flowing below you. Otherwise no doubt we could have completed this lovely visit with a fine wine / food combination. Domaine Laroche in all respect is an absolute must  stop when looking for a good Chablis!

10 rue Auxerrois is open every day, Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 14.00 to 18.00 hours.
In the winter it is closed from December 22 until February 4.
