We drive inland to Suvereto. The capital of the Val di Cornia. There are numerous opportunities to visit wine growers, we choose for an agriturismo just off the main road. You can stay here over night, but besides there is also a great restaurant, all with home grown products.

Varietal wines
The wines (white, rosé and red) with the name 'Elisio "on the label are all blends. Noteworthy is that the other wines are all made of only one grape variety. White has Vermentino (Valentina) and pinot bianco expensive (Strale). Red comes in four variants namely varietal sangiovese (Gualdo del Re), merlot (I'Rennero), cabernet sauvignon (Federico primo) and pinot nero (Senzansia). Finally, a sweet red dessert wine with Aleatico (Amansio) grapes in half a liter bottle. In addition, they have a grappa (Fortespada) sangiovese grosso and  an excellent olive oil.

A perfect place for those who want something different, but the standard Tuscan hot spots.
