In the rustic hamlet in the rolling vineyards, we looked for the famous winemaker Jean Thévenét. According to our navigation the spot had to be near, but still impossible for us to find. Until, at random we drove into an alley where a small sign indicated that this was what we were looking for. Inside, we joined in with a Frenchman who already had his first glass. In very French, we flew from wine to wine. ranging from the lighthearted to the powerful entry-level guys (all white). Surrounded by pallets, empty bottles, barrels and bottling machines the wines were very good. At first the cluttered interior of the barn gave us not the impression of being at a very renowned producer of fine wines. The wine is definitely worth to go for, and the route through the rolling hills dotted with vineyards and the lovely rural village contributed a lot to the holiday feeling. Here you’ll still find a nice value for money.
