The town of Bingen is located at the crossroads of different wine regions including those of the Nahe. Here, too, the river Nahe, plays an important role for the many vineyards. The wines of the Nahe are best characterized as powerful and full-bodied wines of the Rheingau with the subtlety and fine acidity of the Moselle wines. A few Großlagen with the following premium vineyards of the Nahe include: Schloßkappelle with Roxheimer Berg, Rosengarten with Winzenheimer and Paradiesgarten with Rosenheck, Niederhäuser, Hermannshöhle, and Schloßböckelheimer with Kupfergrube.
